How Propvio fits within your licence

Propvio is designed from the ground up to operate within the Australian Credit Licence framework — so you can use it with confidence.

Credit intelligence, not financial advice

Every Propvio output — equity calculations, LVR figures, opportunity flags, and client reports — is framed as credit intelligence. This sits within the credit advice territory covered by an Australian Credit Licence (ACL). You do not need an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) to use Propvio.

Propvio does not provide investment advice, tax advice, or recommendations about financial products. Where a client's situation may require that kind of guidance, brokers should refer their client to a licensed financial planner or tax professional.

Best Interests Duty

Under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, mortgage brokers are required to act in the best interests of their clients. Propvio directly supports this obligation by keeping you proactively informed of changes in your clients' equity positions — so you can reach out before they need to come to you, and before a lender approaches them directly.

The platform is a tool to help you fulfil your duty — not a substitute for your own professional judgement.

Mandatory disclaimers

Every report and calculation generated through Propvio includes compliant disclaimer language confirming that outputs are indicative estimates only, prepared within the scope of an ACL, and do not constitute financial product advice or a formal credit assessment. These disclaimers are automatic and cannot be removed.

Audit trail

Every report generated through Propvio is logged against the broker account and timestamped. If a client interaction is ever questioned — by ASIC, a lender, or a complaint — you have a clear record of what was produced and when.

Data security

Client data is stored on Australian servers with encryption at rest and in transit. Row-level security means each broker account is strictly isolated — no data is shared across accounts. Access controls are enforced at the database level.
